The Spirit of Christmas

I am so excited to be celebrating the season with the annual Christmas Tree Festival. Come out to the Barn and enjoy a bite to eat, a glass of wine, and the many beautifully decorated theme tree’s. I was very excited to decorate a tree this year with a Venetian theme using jewel colors, hand painted masks and many Harlequin decorations. It was very exciting to try something unique, and was well worth the effort. I hope to see you at the Gala and auction tomorrow (November 16 ) starting at 6:30. The tickets are $50.00 with all proceeds going to the Chinook Regional Hospital. It is such a fun night out, so don’t miss this chance to” kick start” the spirit of Christmas. Cheers, Sandra

What are little boys made of? Snips and snails, and puppy dog tails.

It is great to be photographing in our outdoor studio and enjoying the summer once again. Little darling “Nate” brought his own bucket of sunshine.

2010 FESTIVAL

This recent snowfall is a great reminder that Christmas is near. I am a volunteer on the committee for the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation, and am very excited about tonight’s Christmas Tree Gala and Auction held at the D.A. Electric Barn at the Lethbridge College Campus. All the trees are decorated and look truly amazing. It is such a wonderful way to start the Christmas season. Tickets are $50.00 and are being sold at the door. This is my first attempt at decorating a wreath and matching garland, and really enjoyed the experience. We are also donating a $2000.00 Portrait Collection for the live auction. There are also some fabulous silent auction items available. It should be a really great evening. Hope to see you there. Cheers, Sandra.

Meet Decker Passey

This little boy captured my heart in a recent family session. He was so adorable and full of life. Meet his beautiful family, and see their relationship unfold in this short slideshow.  I am so fortunate to share special family memories, and help create new ones.  One of my favorite quotes comes to mind. “We do not remember days, we remember moments”.  Enjoy, Sandra

Fall Familes

I was on location a couple of nights ago, and loved the rich colors and backlighting on the trees as well as the subjects.

Fall Families

Fall is my favourite time of year, but it seems like you blink and you miss it. We are out every day with families at their farms, or locations around Lethbridge. I am optimistic that we will be able to be on location well past Thanksgiving.

Remember to book early for next year if you have your heart set on fall colors. It isn’t too late for to reserve a session for Christmas giving.  We have many interesting sets in our indoor studio. Our deadline to be photographed is November 15. We have introduced some new designer Christmas cards that are sure to impress. ” Memories are like Keepsakes, always to be treasured.”

Steve & Sylvia

I recently had the most exciting day photographing Steve & Sylvia’s wedding on location in Coaldale. We found the most unique locations, and I am presently enjoying the creativity of enhancing these images for their custom album; so I decided to share some of my favourites. Enjoy a brief sneak peek. Sandra.

Chelsea Steinkey

I am sorry to see our grad season come to an end. It is like a touch of Hollywood, and is my favorite time of year. We photograph grads from May through August and I enjoy these young adults with their entire life in front of them, knowing their story is yet to be told. This year I had the pleasure of photographing my beautiful niece “Chelsea “adding to the many memories I have shared with her over the past 17 years. Conrats, and Good Luck in your continued education.
Note to Grads for 2011: Call our studio {380-4905} and find out how you can win your own “grad slideshow”. I look forward to capturing your memories next season. Sandra.
